Hello once again!
I hope everyone had an awesome Halloween day/week.
As you can see with all the candy above I had lots of fun.
So our program course registration was this weekend for the Winter 2014 term. And, like every semester I guess the part time students crash the BCIT website with everyone trying to register at the same time.
I ended up getting the “BCIT Blue Screen of Death” as I like to call it in computer terms.
All though this year the BCIT website was only down for about 10 mins or less. I believe last year it went down for a few hours! The good news is I got into all of my chosen classes for the Winter semester. I guess the students in the full-time programs have one huge advantage. And, that is they are automatically placed into classes for each semester. Since the Forensics program is “technically” considered a part time program. It means we have to manually select our courses each and every semester. So it’s always fun waking up at 9AM with a few hundred or thousands BCIT students all trying to register for their courses at the same time. I guess you can think of it as a Boxing Day online sale at BCIT for courses. So I am looking forward towards next semester in January, as I get to take part in some very interesting classes out of the usual Computer Crime classes.
I thought for Halloween, I’d take a shot at some pumpkin carving. And with that here is my creation!
On another note it looks like the near end of the semester is almost here. And with that comes many research papers that need to be finished up. In 3 weeks most of my classes will be over, which means finals will be nearing soon. For any Forensic students, this is the time when it becomes VERY busy in the semester. All of the research papers are due around the same week or the same day as the final. We don’t get much sleep around this time! I hope to post more about the classes I took this semester for potential future Forensic students. Hopefully, I can provide some more detailed info about the overall work in class.
That’s all for this week.
See you next week!
Harry.
